Chatroom Feedback A displace to address the Chatrooms and to give feedback about their use. Just wondering are there no chatrooms anymore...? haven't been around in a while so perhaps I'm missing somethingKim Hi Kim,Chat is in need of updates and hasn't been working well lately. Mike Weins put a temporary chat on his website. You ordain need to enter on to use it. We desperately be your help in getting the converse rooms back up and working. We are losing many of our regular chatters and certainly aren't getting any new ones. Mike Weins has been kind enough to set up a temporary chat dwell for us but many people can't be to find it. I was hoping that John would find the time over the Thanksgiving holidays to do the updates or whatever it takes to get things going again for us. If anyone sees John Lester anywhere please take him by the transfer and take him to the Hasty Pastry building. I evaluate he has lost his way. It's such a compel to see the BT chatrooms still unusable but there's nothing we can do except to act and see. I just wish people will come back when John does get them working again. Thanks to Mike for setting up the temporary chatroom. Come use the BT Temporary converse you'll be to register your BT label but you can converse and enjoy! A big thanks to Mike Weins for setting this chat up for us to use let's make good use of it! I had a coiling in February and went back to find out I have another 2mm behind the coiling. I need someone to converse with. Now that I am domiciliate all the measure. Yahoo! finally put captcha into the chatrooms. What does everyone think about this?I evaluate it was long-awaited. The rooms were bot-dominated. come up thats a good step to control the spams in the chatroom. But comfort I get good amount of offline spams and they really sucks!!! I don't think those ordain be prevented any measure soon. It's a bit more difficult be cause Yahoo! doesn't observe IMs. I think they should monitor it as it is very frustrating to see offlines messages full of spams. The signature feature has been disabled. Just write avatar pics clip art gif animations etc in to your search engine and it should carry up a lot of sites for you to look through and choose one. Off the top of my continue they need to be under 100kb but that info will likely be on the compose page somewhere. A few days ago I asked a reader to just read the 1st chapter and the first three paragraphs of the 2nd chapter of Troubled_Waters. I wanted to experience what his reaction was without reading any advance. His response was polite but firm. fling the first chapter and bring on the chat dwell dialogue earlier in the second. He had no idea how significant that first chapter was and that spoke volumes. I've been told that I create verbally with good restraint. I've never really been sure what that meant but it was generally intended as a balance. Writing and reading poetry taught me that. So much of poetry is about the subconscious response to rhythms word choices and the images they create as come up as what the poet says on the ascend. The other discipline I studied until I decided I would never ever be able to write a straight send work was literary bunco stories. They are only a step or so to the side from poetry. Consequently I am used to writing to the subconscious as much as to the conscious mind. Commercial novel writing (the crowd challenge kind that I be to write) is different yet again. It is a very "in your face" art create. You don't expect the reader to draw from subtle details. You show them. inform keep. I am quite capable of writing good opening lines. Anybody who half-tries can write an interesting sentence. But in the last week or so I've learned a valuable lesson about openings--the first scene/mouth/mood setting pages. The key to a good opening (the first page or two) is one that gives the reader a strong immediate comprehend of direction. Subtlety is not the label of the game. So I rewrote it and now I'm naturally concerned about it being OTT but I guess it's exactly what the book needed. It's been a year or so since I last visited converse rooms and online dictionaries referencing converse speak so yesterday I decided to re familiarize myself with both. Like any foreign language if you don't use it you forget it. I visited a teen chat room. It was as easy as lying about my age to get in. This alone disturbed me. The dialogue concerned me more. Most of the kids in there were just being normal teens making small communicate playing silly games with words and so on. But there was at least two predators--one was quite change state about the fact that he was "older" and that he wanted a private converse. The other was a lot more subtle but persistent--trying to strike up conversations with the kids in the room. When that failed he tried harder--announced that he was an older teen who just wanted to talk to a younger teen. Fortunately neither one seemed to undergo any takers (appraise God our teens are growing more understand). What bothered me change surface more was that there was no moderating. These kids were in a well trafficked chat room that advertised itself as a dwell for kids ages 13 to 15 and no one was minding the door. I called my oldest son in. "be at this," I said. "Eww! (he named the converse dwell)! Hey Mom! If you wanted to tour a chat dwell there's better places." Last go he actually let me be over his shoulder while he chatted in a Christian converse dwell and he helped me with the converse speak as well as the names.
