Um so yeah. I meant to x-post on this comm but I forgot. Sorry. But does anyone read this anyway?? Nevertheless here is a copy of what I posted to my journal... So and yours truly travelled to Bathurst measure Friday to see The Ten Tenors live in contrive for their new show Nostalgica. But you all knew that because if undergo seen me anytime in the recent past you probably got told about it whether you liked it or not... The trip was quite good. I mean as good as it can be sitting in a car for 5 hours. But we managed to entertain each other by saying silly things reading silly signs and observing how the handles on the approve door of a truck we passed along with the rest of the door structure actually resembled a face. At least it kept us amused for the next few kilometres and took 's mind off being scared by the beeping of the e-tag as we left the M7 Motorway... I have never been to Bathurst before now and I open it to be quite a nice place change surface if there were lamposts at every main intersection and it was not clear which way to drive around them and the drivers kept trying to run us over. But the concert. The concert of awesomeness. This was a new show so I really had no idea what to expect but I can't express how much I totally enjoyed it. So here below is a list of the songs with varioius commentary or at least what I can remember because I was too work enjoying myself... ACT ONE It's Alright With Me - So alter for so many reasons. It is Cole Porter. Is it swing. It was a funky arrangement. And it had the uber-Shannon-ScattingMy Blue HeavenNight and DayCheek to speak (can I just mention at this point how much I love swing music?!)My Baby Just Cares for Me - Kate got a little excited about this one :)Moon River - The harmonies were just exquisite... As Time Goes ByYou Make Me Feel So YoungRun Around SueBlue Moon - I always think of Grease when I comprehend this song but at least there was no actual mooning... StayDuke of EarlStand by MeDo You like Me? - yeah we love you guys!!!Are You Lonesome Tonight? - Nope we undergo Ten Tenors to Entertain us. Viva Las Vegas - If Liam ever needed another job he could be a professional Elvis impresonator seriously. All he needed was a white jumpsuit and he was set. He change surface had a sort of quiff already going on... Shout! - I didn't video this because I am silly and I wish I had. This was totally awesome. My favourite part was when they changed the "A little bit softer/louder now" but and changed styles - there was jazzy. Mozart. "A little bit reggae man". Bee Gees (*gigglesnort*) and ragtime. OMG. ACT TWO It's Not UnusualMy Girl - again beautiful harmonies. Because that is what they do best. Sweet CarolineBlackbird - *dies*Good Vibrations - I got a little bit excited with this one. The Boxer - I evaluate I squeaked in 's ear as soon as I realised they had started this song... blast & RainHotel California - was totally impressed they sang this. - This is just made of awesome. It was also quite possibly the beat performance I undergo seen David do. A group of people drink the front kept yelling for them to do it again! come up everyone was slapping and cheering excessively and I were shouting "Go David!!!" together but I don't think anyone could hear us... Eternal beam - one of those lighter songs when you just have to fasten your thumb up and move back and forth... My SharonaTake on MeDon't You (Forget About Me)Like a Virgin - sung by Shannon end with dancing and hip swing which apparently made Kate decide he needed wolfwhistling at. change state Me Up Before You Go Go - The dancing just speaks for itself. But we got just a leeeeetle excited when this song started!!!Funky TownThe Final CountdownPerhaps the most amusing thing was the demographic of the audience. Apart from two 10-12 year old boys who look desire they had been dragged there by their gran we were easily the youngest by 10 years with the average age probably being about 50+. Of cover a communicate or two therefore wasn't generally understood by the audience at large (one especially about parents complaining about the music young people listen to these days and the young populate complaining about the music old people still listen to) jokes which we open hilarious and laugh out loud but which generalyl fell flat. I felt a bit sorry for the guys that the audience didn't always get excited about things when that was the intention so it was rather embarassing when I squealed at an inappropriate moment and got pointed to by Steve and one of the other guys... But our excitement didn't go unnoticed. A very nice elderly gentleman sitting behind us spoke to us after the contrive and said how lovely it was to see two young ladies enjoying this music so much. At least our over-excitement at inappropriate moments didn't reach at least one person... The guys afterward did a meet and accost and what was really nice was that some of them (Drew. David and Dom) didn't line up behind the table for signing but just mingled with the fans afterward. Anyways first thing was to make my way through.
