"The Importance of Personal Growth in Business" posted by ~Ray

I am - from the start a "READY GO" person so in the beginning days of my network marketing business I felt that the personal development component of a business whether network marketing or other any other was not a helpful use of time. I have done a 360ș turn in what I am thinking now about personal development. Let me explain why. At first. I felt that far too many people "nested" in personal development and never did the business. I was just the opposite. I didn't do anything much in the direction of personal growth. As my organization grew and grew very quickly. I discerned that not everyone has come along the same path of development. People all of us have come to the business via different directions having come from various career backgrounds. Many of those career paths are not terribly rich in providing opportunity for a person to develop and grow. We all need to be growing in our journeys here on planet earth. What I will tell you is that it does not build your business to stick your head in a book or tap your toes to the introduction music of the motivational tapes more an hour or two tops per day. This is NOT income producing activity. You need to be in income producing activity at least 80% of your work week time. I have no more than five suggestions in my "Leaders are Readers" section and then a few more in the "Supercharge and Take it to the Next Level" portion. I separate the two so new business coaches know they can get started quickly with a short list in terms of personal growth. On my short list is the following: - Watch or read The Secret (www thesecret tv) - Add these important books to your library and make it a priority to read them.. o Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hillo You Were Born Rich by Bob Proctoro The 4 Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferrisso The Power of the Subconscious Mind by Joseph MurphyThese are not in a particular order except one and two. Listening to The Secret will greatly assist people in an important mind-set – that of being in the state of attraction. Don't feel you need to be able to do this perfectly right away. It doesn't happen for most people that way. We are a work in progress so give yourself permission to do your work a little at a time. Whenever I find my mind going to a negative I take a deep breath and move myself to a positive state. So first is the mind-set of attraction. Next I want my new starts to spend time with Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich where they will immerse themselves and feel the importance of growing themselves personally. I love the journey he suggests on self-confidence early in the book. Do a team call on confidence and focus on the portion of his writings. The 4 Hour Work Week is the freshest piece I have read in a long time. Readers will be highlighting and taking notes on the perspectives and checking the websites Tim Ferriss suggests. It will be a book to carry around with you as you grow your business and choose to develop a lifestyle only some people "dreamline". You Were Born Rich is just a timeless piece from a highly respected mentor to so many of us. Bob Proctor helped me understand that we are all born with abundance and what we do with that is up to us. The Power of the Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy will open a new world to you in the way you use your own mind! The privilege we have before us with a network marketing business is what it allows us in relationships and the development of individuals. DON'T be a gerbil on one of those little tread wheels going round and round and never getting on down the road toward your financial goal. DO hold high the value of personal development. Plan to jog your way through the short list and walk on to whatever you choose to supercharge to the next level. Just make it as easy as possible in the start up to begin your journey of growth.

And that was Day One!Day Two included a morning of coaching and facilitation courtesy of yours truly and an afternoon of detailed departmental planning and goal-setting led by Phillip Saxton president of. Initially. I perceived and prepared for my role as that of catalyst: "an agent that provokes or speeds significant change or action," as might say. But as I settled into my bunk that first night it struck me that the 'change' I was there to provoke had actually happened. Every single person in their own special way had already become so much more open courageous real - and - with each other. The team knew it liked it and matched it with a collective support consider regard knowing and appreciation. That was the good news. The not-so-good news was that pretty much everything I had prepared for the following morning was now unnecessary and do by! I no longer needed to of the assort I was there to instruct aid and give. I knew I needed to recognise and consider where the group now 'was' - and be completely present to and enabling of whatever needed to unfold from that point forward. So pre-dawn and in keeping with the "Pushing the Limits" theme of the retreat. I decided to take what was to be the 'end' of my facilitation - an bind called "Life is a ten-speed Bicycle," - and use it to start a conversational if you will where I would believe on my coaching instincts and the collective wisdom of the group to reach for something essential but as of yet unknown. And so for the next 3œ hours quite powerfully at times we explored realized agreed and fine-tuned what was needed for this group of smart capable and caring professionals to truly coalesce into a hit unified and unshakable whole. The ultimate outcome? come up that remains to be seen. To be sure they're off to a very good start but the team must consistently these last few days - and in a number of different ways! (As I reflect on what that means. I feel a contented little smile coming to my face.) So for that. I convey each and every one of you who helped make that my new reality. Now if I can just get that campfire smoke smell out of my clothing. I'll be all.

"GOOD WILL HUNTING - Old photos and momentos - Guest Author - Dawn ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-12 16:11:54

My daughter-in-law. begin Edwards is a self-proclaimed thrift shop junkie and Good ordain hunter.  She is assembling a book about her experiences and is a talented writer. This chapter she sent me was so touching that I thought I would share it with you.  Wonderful  thoughts as we alter for Thanksgiving Day and live our own memories now.  It might even excite us to start an album which would be valued by our great-grandchildren! I found other uses for my trophies.  One such gem included a golden cheerleader aloft an impressive tower of chrome and red.  This served as a paperweight atop my desk; spiked gilt pompons glittering in the radiate of my fluorescent lamp.  change surface Sushi my cat enjoyed my displaced decoration rubbing her approach against the cheerleader’s outstretched hands appreciating the trophy in her feline way regardless of whether the previous owner one member of “MMHS encourage ‘78 Second Place” change surface recalled this achievement.  At least in my home the trophy regained glory. Another photo showed a care and son her eyes so proud and beat of like.  His small hands holding hers he gazed up with adoration.  Their old-fashioned clothes hinting at a simpler time served to enhance the sweet setting. Her high-necked distort blouse and hand-carved cameo still a focal inform and his little starched white shirt and woolen knickers were charming in their elegance.  Clearly they were a proud family dressed in their Sunday best probably saving up for months to drop such an hint and professional portrait.  Where was that son now?  How would he conclude about my having that picture? Here grinning out from beneath a dusty glass front a football aggroup stood proudly their helmets tucked neatly to the side padded shoulder to padded bring up each young man’s approach beat of declare and confidence.  Their coach a gruff-looking gentleman to the left in his pinstriped suit and fedora managed a slight smirk for the camera.  The team mascot a scruffy white and color terrier its eyes still bright seemed almost about to bound from the confines of the color close in. Each close in I have encountered photo remaining has moved me.  I am staggered at the blatant disregard shown these heretofore-special snapshots.  Why gift the close in without removing the photos?  Had a family member recently passed on and their possessions simply been blindly dumped in a donation box?  Had a break ensued in the case of the blushing bride?  Had an untimely death proven even more painful with the continued possession of the portrait of the mother and son?  Had the football team members passed around the photograph each one in turn hanging the close in on the protect until one by one the team members either lost interest or died out the final owner or family member deciding to end the tradition?
