Posted on 2008-10-14 04:35:33

If you like money like to talk about money like to make money or like to read about money in an investing and big finance kind of way then you may want to have a look at the. The blog is only a few months old but is doing very well as a means of providing comprehensive information about a variety of finance and investing information. The owner of the blog is Matt and he is a finance major attending a well-respected business school in the United States. His career objective is to pursue investment banking or asset management. Besides education his experience lends credibility to the blog topic as Matt has been investing himself since he was 13 when he started out with a small value mutual fund and he made 60% in the first year. That same year he began pursuing the stock market through a contest at school and as he says ‘performed very well’. He finds that writing and researching this topic has helped him grow immensely in the field and he wants to enhance this learning process by growing a readership through which everyone can grow together. You can get a feel for his extensive knowledge in the subject through any of his recent bloggeries: . WallStreetOasis com. Liar’s Poker. LIBOR – London Interbank Offered Rate; In Investing. You Get What you Pay For – Speech by John Bogle. 130/30 Fund Strategies; ; ; and Theory of Reflexivity. Navigation on this blog is very easy as the blog has a clean layout and extremely organized design template. Bloggeries are in black text on white background with blue bordering and blue highlights throughout the blog. The links are in blue highlights and this overall design makes the blog easy on the eyes and thus a very easy read. Bloggeries are left marginalized with two navigation bars in the right hand side. In the left navigation bar you will find a Categories menu advertising. Archives Menu and a Blog Roll. In the right navigation bar you will find advertising subscription information. Recent Posts Menu. Recent Comments Menu and a Top Commenters Menu. You will also find a very handy Top navigation bar where you can access the Home link. About Page. Archives. Contact Us information. Sitemap and Subscription information. Themes you will find in the categories menu are of course finance related and range from Alternative Investments. Economics. Personal Finance. Retirement and many more finance related topics. I am going to give this blog a 3.7/5 as it does very well on almost all blog criteria. The appearance is excellently managed and makes for a very easy read. Navigation scores are well as well as this blog has a clean layout and well-organized navigation system. The blogger has also incorporated his advertising enough to monetize the blog without the ads distracting from the blog content. The only area the blog needs some strength is in the frequency of activity. Currently the bloggeries are only coming in every couple of weeks and sometimes even longer in between. Overall however this blogger clearly understands his content and conveys that in an easy to read yet intelligent manner and thus with more frequent activity could very easily sustain a nice healthy readership. If you are looking for some sound credible advice on investing or finance this blog is definitely well worth the read.

"The Bonzai Way Tackles Money Mangement" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-20 20:13:33

Financial aggregaters like Mint seek to help you manage your finances by providing you with enough information to do it yourself. The problem is a lot of us have absolutely no idea how to get our budgets under control is a financial management tool that seeks to tackle this end of the equation. The Banzai Way is based upon the understanding that organization is not the same thing as control. As you know. create from raw material. Wesabe and just about everyone else in this lay focus on the former by specializing in data aggregation and analysis. While organization is fundamentally important (it keeps you from bouncing checks ensures the electric account gets paid etc.) it does little to change spending habits over the long haul. Rather than aggregating data from past transactions. Banzai uses a unique “Jars” paradigm (read all about it ) to focus users’ attention on the spending flexibility they undergo now and the impact their decisions will have on the future. Users are free to spend more than they had planned in any given area provided they identify a compensating trade-off they are willing to make elsewhere. We’re leveraging the psychology of spending for the user’s benefit rather than trying to change the way he/she thinks. As you may experience one of Mint’s slogans is “Put your finances on autopilot.” This is an attractive proposition for someone who is already in good cause financially but spells disaster for anyone whose current course is leading them into the side of a mountain. The last thing someone with a real spending problem needs is to have the force of individual transactions obscured through aggregated reporting. To this end. Banzai users assign every individual expense to a jar themselves–we don’t make the decision for them. While it only takes a few seconds per transaction this step is crucial in that it allows users to see the individual force of each spending decision and designate trade-offs where necessary to ensure that they remain on course. For most new users. The Banzai Way represents a radical departure from the financial management paradigms they’ve used in the past. To assist with the convert and give needed encouragement along the way we appoint each user to a “Banzai instruct.” Upon write up he/she is given the name and email address of their instruct and encouraged to contact him/her whenever they encounter difficulties be it with the website itself or with changing their.

"Surrendering and Replacing Your Insurance Policy" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-12 16:22:09

Most policyholders are not aware that they have the options to “repackage” their policy if they’ve decided that their insurance policies are no longer relevant to their current needs. Sometimes filling up a simple amendment form is all you be to change existing terms and conditions of your existing policy. In my experience a lot of policy lapses happen not because of the policy itself but rather it’s because of the lousy service and give from the servicing agent. There’s actually “cheaper” ways to solve the problem than just lapsing the policy. A policyholder has the rights to request the affiliate to assign a new servicing agent (or recommend a servicing agent to the affiliate) should it be proven that the existing servicing agent hasn’t been fulfilling their responsibilities. But here’s my final advice for people who are thinking of surrendering their policy and to regenerate it with a new one: Get neutral advice. Of course please get advice from someone who is knowledgeable in the subject. You will be able to get a better perspective on the whole surrendering apply because they don’t gain a single sen out of it!. You might be to construe these too... "Bersih Rally: Reformasi" posted by ~Ray

Watch the latest Video Clips on the Al Jazeera Forum on Bersih RallyPart I - 8 min ; Part II 9 - mins 40s with inserted Video cut on the complain March on 10 Nov 07; And the last Q & A transcriptTeymoor: As a representative of the younger generation of the UMNO Party do you accept with what the attend said or do you evaluate there is room for change within the institutional structureKhairy Jamaluddin: I accept with what the minister says. There is nothing wrong with the system. There need to be some changes to the process to alter it. The institutions are fine the system works we lose an election we lost Kelantan we lost before. This whole bersih rally was simply superb. In my view its a excellent step foward for the people who want their voice to be heard. I feel the only mistake in this whole rally was the fact of having Anwar & Hadi together with other opp leaders being the ones handing the memo to the palace. The govt will position the rally as a opp ploy because of that fact!! It should have been NGO’s who did this. I feel the govt are under heavy preasure now and any oppty given will be used as their get out of jail card! "Badminton Muscles" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 16:40:19

Yesterday. I was out with my cousin and her friends at the Juara Stadium playing badminton. I undergo to admit. I haven’t really played the bet for at least 3 years. I undergo been playing basketball and swimming quite often and so I thought it wouldn’t be so “stressful” for the muscles with just a short 2-hours game. The aching muscles reminds me that if we become too comfortable with our daily routine we might just be lacking the drive to stress our potential advance. There might be still rooms for more improvements and achievements but due to the comfort zone we are in we decided to get complacent. And when a crisis interrupts our daily routine like when my cousin called me up for the badminton game. I wasn’t ready for the total go across stress test. And I am aching all over now. Morale of the story just when things at work or your relationship with your customers friend and families are going too smoothly it’s measure to run the crisis-simulator!You might be to read these too...
