I know the legal aspects of this must undergo been considered before they were built. I know years ago it was not legal to own a sawed off shotgun whether single double or pump action below a certain length especially with the have cut down to hand grip size. If I have my Judge with me in the transport loaded with 410's and there is no 45 ammo anywhere. I remember the racks in pickups with the shot gun semi permanently installed there. (only when your going hunting right)Am I carrying a bunco barreled 410 shotgun with multiple shots or a revolver?? It would be interesting to see how it was considered,in some area'sYeah I know the action is a revolver but there are rotary mags for other guns also most especially the street sweeper, which is a 12 guage I think. Now that is a REVOLVER!!

If you have a smooth cut gun taking shot cartridges with a barrel less than 18" you've got a "sawed off shotgun" under National Firearms Act. To be legal the barrel must be rifled... According to the American Rifleman the rifling in the Judge is very shallow and slow and does not affect the shot column at close range...
Yeah. I thought that was how it worked. The Rifleing made the difference. But I was sitting around thinking about it and did not have the real say. I have heard about people firing a 45 from a regular 410 shotgun and I know they make the single shot 45/410's in the hand gun version. Like I have not had a new handgun had a 2 shot 22 derringer that is about 46 yrs old until this year. Always had a shotgun single shot 16 gauge. (my dad's idea was if you need more than one you can't shoot very well) and a 22 semi auto rifle. Raising kids and moving all over the country I never went out and bought the handguns until now. The world scares the heck outa me (I kept it PG13) now so I felt the need for something I could use quickly and did not have to carry the spare shells in my pocket or hand. I will be taking the CCW in KY soon so I can not have to worry where I put the guns when I am off the do work.
